Education & Training for CYMHP

As part of Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC), and in collaboration with Queen’s University, St. Lawrence College, and other educational institutions we often have students and learners from across many disciplines participate in our various clinics.

  • Residents: Usually senior general psychiatry residents who are physicians training to be adult psychiatrists.
  • Fellows: Adult psychiatrists who are training to become child and youth psychiatrists.  In the CYMH Program we have both international and Canadian sub-specialty streams.
  • Allied Health: Many of our allied health clinicians also provide field placements or internships for a number of disciplines including: behavioural therapy, nursing, occupational therapy, psychology, and social work which may involve them in the services you are provided by our program.
