The Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre at Kingston Health Sciences Centre Hotel Dieu Hospital site helps clients and their family members achieve a heart healthy lifestyle. The program is made up of guided exercise classes, education sessions, and support services. It offers clients resources and information on healthy living to help improve and maintain health.

Who is cardiac rehabilitation for?

Cardiac rehabilitation works to improve the health and fitness of patients with heart disease, people who have had heart surgery and those who are at higher risk for getting heart disease.

What are the benefits of cardiac rehabilitation?

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre program will provide you with:

  • Tools to help control weight, cholesterol level and blood pressure
  • Exercise instruction to help increase fitness, strength and energy
  • Skills to manage stress and anxiety
  • Resources to decrease risk factors of heart disease
  • Education about heart healthy diets
  • Information on how to make healthy life choices in the community

From Brock Street: Enter the main entrance on Brock Street. Take the elevator in the lobby to level 2. Turn right off the elevator and immediately turn right again. Follow this hallway towards the windows at the end and take the elevator on your left down to level 1. Turn right off of the elevator and turn left down the hallway. The Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre will be straight ahead of you.

From Johnson Street: Enter the Johnson Street entrance and go up the stairs. Walk through the red double doors on your left. Continue straight down the hallway until you reach the red Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre doors.
