The Role of the Patient Records Department

The Patient Records Department at Hotel Dieu and Kingston General Hospitals merged together in 1997. We oversee the collection, storage, retention and access to your personal hospital record. We respect and maintain the confidentiality of your personal health information. Release of Information staff, located at Hotel Dieu Hospital, manage inquiries and requests for copies of your hospital health record for visits at both Hotel Dieu and Kingston General Hospitals.

Every effort is made to process your requests in a timely manner; however response times may vary due to priorities and an increased volume of inquiries.
