Patient-centred Care: Liz Crocker

Liz Crocker is known as a businesswoman, child and health advocate, innovator, and writer. She is co-author of “Privileged Presence,” a collection of stories about people's experiences in health care from the point of view of communication, collaboration and compassion. Liz also edited Rob Rutledge and Tim Walker’s book “The Healing Circle: Integrating science, wisdom and compassion in reclaiming wholeness on the cancer journey.”  Liz’s commitment and passion for patient-centered care is contagious. Liz will discuss the importance of and ways to implement patient-centered care using her experience with interviewing many patients and families.

This event takes place 4:45-6 pm, Monday, Nov. 23. 2015 at Sydenham Street United Church, 82 Sydenham Street, Kingston.  Admission is free.  The event is sponsored by the School of Nursing, Queen’s University.
