These days, we are experiencing a period of unprecedented growth and change at Hotel Dieu Hospital as we chart a path that will define us as leaders in the transformation of ambulatory health care.
Our path follows the contours of a bold strategic plan, which is helping us to map out a new model for delivering excellent care and excellent patient/family experience; engaging our staff; enhancing our performance; advancing our teaching and research mission; and engaging in purposeful health care and academic partnerships.
A key landmark on our path forward is a $20-million redevelopment project that will eventually allow us to accommodate most specialized outpatient clinics in this region under one roof. A highly visible sign of our vision for the future of outpatient care, this redevelopment project is the first of many milestones geared to ensuring we provide the highest quality of patient care, teaching and research.
These are exciting times for Hotel Dieu Hospital. We welcome the opportunities they bring and the growth they promise.

Executive Compensation Program
Hotel Dieu Hospital has a robust and comprehensive executive compensation program. Each year, members of the Senior Leadership Team have their performance measured through metrics that are tied directly to a portion of the annual compensation of the executive.
Compensation Program Components
The compensation program integrates and aligns the following key components into one program:
- Base Salary
CEO and Chief of Staff compensation are determined and approved by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. The CEO approves compensation for the members of the Senior Leadership Team who report to him. All salaries are set with reference to internal and external comparators.
- Pay for Performance Program
Each member of the Senior Leadership Team has a portion of his or her total salary (10% to 15% above the base salary) held back pending achieving performance objectives. The objectives include Senior Leadership Team performance and objectives contained in the Quality Improvement Plan.
